Hoodoo Moab

Upscale Curio Collection retreat in downtown Moab featuring a massive courtyard pool, a full-service spa, and a premier steakhouse.

Hoodoo Moab, Curio Collection by Hilton, stands as a refined architectural anchor in downtown Moab, combining modern luxury with the rugged spirit of the surrounding red rock country. Designed by Los Angeles-based Atwater Inc. Studio, the three-story, horseshoe-shaped property was completed in 2019 following a seventy-three million dollar investment. Guests arriving at the property are greeted by a whimsical, larger-than-life, wire-wrapped faux grass dinosaur named T-Rex, a playful nod to the region's deep prehistoric roots. Inside, the design transitions into a sophisticated, two-story lobby defined by a grand modern staircase and lacquered reception desks in a smoky palette. The interior aesthetic draws heavily from eastern Utah's geologic and pioneering history, utilizing copper-toned textiles, metallic finishes, and lantern lighting that emulates the area's historic mining legacy.

The hotel features 117 oversized guest rooms and suites, each designed to bring the dramatic desert landscape indoors through floor-to-ceiling windows. Accommodations are decorated in a warm palette of toffee, rust, and golden hues, accented by deep tones reminiscent of desert varnish. Many of the suites offer private balconies or patios that look out over the sandstone buttes, as well as generous bathrooms equipped with deep soaking tubs and plush bathrobes. In March 2024, developer Western States Lodging and Management expanded the campus with the completion of the Casitas at the Hoodoo Moab. These premium, residential-style units feature private patios, fireplaces, and fully equipped kitchens, providing a highly private retreat for families and groups seeking extended stays in the high desert.

At the heart of the horseshoe-shaped building lies an outdoor courtyard oasis, home to the largest heated outdoor pool in Moab. Open year-round, this turquoise pool is paired with a large outdoor hot tub and framed by organic rock formation gardens, providing a peaceful space to unwind after a day of trail exploration. For dining, the hotel hosts Josie Wyatt's Bar & Grille, a premier on-site steakhouse where guests can enjoy premium cuts of beef, American classics, and handcrafted cocktails against a backdrop of red rock views. Wellness needs are met at Spa Moab, a full-service sanctuary featuring six dedicated treatment rooms that offer a curated menu of massages, body scrubs, wraps, and facials, ensuring complete rejuvenation before the next desert excursion.
