The main three-story hotel building features a striking stone facade, arched windows, and double steel galleries reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans. Rather than looking out at asphalt or generic resort lawns, guests look directly over the Buena Vista Whitewater Park, where kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders navigate the rapids of the Upper Arkansas.
The hotel operates as a cohesive collection of distinct lodging experiences totaling 62 rooms and suites. In the main Surf Hotel, rooms feature high ceilings, custom fiber-art finishes, and shared or private balconies with views of the river or the towering Collegiate Peaks. For those seeking a more secluded feel, the adjacent Surf Chateau offers cottage-style rooms arranged around a quiet, river-rock courtyard, featuring steeply pitched roofs, canopy beds, and stone fireplaces that evoke the French countryside. The newest addition, Surf House, provides a highly curated, residential feel across three stories, offering ten upscale king guestrooms with handcrafted furnishings that can be rented independently or combined into spacious, apartment-style suites.
