Terminal Bar occupies the historic ticketing office on the eastern side of Denver Union Station's Great Hall. Originally designed in the station's turn-of-the-century heyday and beautifully reimagined by design firm AvroKO, the bar retains its original cast-iron ticket windows. Patrons can step up to these historic windows to order a drink rather than a train ticket. The interior space is richly detailed with period-correct finishes, including Pullman car-inspired drinking booths upholstered in deep blue leather, brass fittings, and custom-designed lighting columns that mirror the romanticism of early 20th-century rail travel. In 2024, an eleven-million-dollar renovation refreshed the station's furniture and layout, ensuring the historic space remains a comfortable, bustling anchor for travelers and locals alike.
The beverage program is a celebration of Colorado's craft culture, featuring a rotating selection of more than two dozen draft beers sourced almost entirely from local microbreweries. Behind the bar, shelves are stocked with spirits from Colorado distilleries, alongside curated wines and timeless cocktails. To accompany the drinks, the Terminal Bar Kitchen serves an elevated American Brasserie-inspired menu. Instead of standard pub grub, the kitchen prepares satisfying dishes like a three-cheese Mumbai Toastie with mint chutney on sourdough, a slow-roasted Porchetta sandwich with garlic aioli and salsa verde on ciabatta, and a Double Smash Burger topped with maple bacon.
