AutoCamp Sequoia

Sleep along the Kaweah River in custom Airstreams and modern cabins, just minutes from the gates of Sequoia National Park.

AutoCamp Sequoia, which opened its doors in March 2025, is situated on Sierra Drive in Three Rivers, California, just five minutes from the local town center and roughly 15 minutes from the Ash Mountain entrance to Sequoia National Park. The property is anchored by a 3,350-square-foot midcentury modern Clubhouse designed by Waechter Architecture, with interior design handled by HVS Design. This central lodge features clean, minimalist lines, a striking matte-black fireplace, a raw-edge communal wood table, and a welcoming bar that serves local beers, wines, and craft cocktails. Outside, the property occupies a historic former campground along the Kaweah River, where native oaks and pines frame views of the Sierra Nevada foothills.

The property features 85 design-forward accommodations, ranging from the brand's signature 31-foot custom Airstream trailers to contemporary cabins, BaseCamp Suites, and luxury canvas tents. Inside the Airstreams, guests find bright, wood-paneled interiors with queen-sized beds positioned beneath panoramic windows, compact kitchenettes with a refrigerator and microwave, and modern bathrooms with walk-in rain showers. For families and larger groups, the site offers specialized Bunk Rooms, which feature configurations like King Rooms with twin bunks and Double Queen Rooms that sleep up to six guests. Each site is equipped with a private outdoor living space, complete with a dining table, chairs, and a personal fire pit with a built-in grill.

A trail winds from the accommodations down to a private rocky beach on the Kaweah River, where guests can skip stones or take a cold plunge in the Sierra Nevada runoff. Back at the main hub, a heated outdoor swimming pool offers a warmer alternative for a swim, while the Cedar Room hosts morning yoga sessions and the Pine Room provides space for private meetings. Dining at the property revolves around the Kitchen and General Store, which provide grab-and-go breakfast items, local artisan provisions, and signature grill kits for evening campfires. The property also hosts local food vendors, such as the Pupusas La Sabrosa truck, which serves authentic Salvadoran cuisine directly on-site. As night falls, communal fire pits on the Ponderosa Lawn light up, providing a space for stargazing beneath some of the darkest skies in the region.

Basecamp Tip

Walk down to the property's private riverfront beach for a morning cold plunge in the Kaweah River, then check the General Store for their signature campfire grill kits to cook over your private fire pit.
