Blacktooth Brewing Company

The original outpost of Wyoming’s most decorated craft brewery, pouring Saddle Bronc Brown and 307 Lager at the foot of the Bighorn Mountains.

Blacktooth Brewing Company opened its doors in 2010 on Broadway Street, helping spark a modern revitalization of Sheridan’s historic manufacturing district. Founded by Tim Barnes and Travis Zeilstra, the brewery takes its name from Blacktooth Mountain, the jagged 13,000-foot peak that dominates the nearby Bighorn skyline. What began as a humble multi-barrel system has grown into one of the state's most decorated packaging breweries, known for producing clean, highly drinkable beers that respect traditional styles.

The Sheridan taproom retains a rugged, industrial character, with views directly into the brewhouse where copper-clad vessels and stainless steel tanks work constantly to keep up with regional demand. Visitors gather around heavy timber tables to drink pints of Saddle Bronc Brown, an English-style brown ale that has claimed multiple medals at the Great American Beer Festival, or the crisp, light-bodied 307 Lager, which has become a staple across the state. The tap list rotates constantly with experimental IPAs, barrel-aged stouts, and seasonal sours, all brewed using water sourced from the mountain snowpack. On warm afternoons, the garage doors roll up to connect the indoor tavern with a spacious outdoor patio, where locals and travelers swap trail conditions over pints.
