Hotel Jackson

A family-owned luxury boutique hotel near Town Square, blending reclaimed timber, modern design, and exceptional Middle Eastern dining.

Hotel Jackson stands as a modern, family-owned anchor just a block from the historic Jackson Town Square, combining contemporary mountain design with deep-seated local roots. Opened in 2015 by Jim Darwiche and his son, Sadek, the property represents a multi-decade legacy in the valley, tracing back to when Jim first arrived in 1977 after his Volkswagen Westfalia broke down nearby. Built to LEED standards, the hotel's exterior and interior showcase a meticulous blend of organic and industrial materials: stacked stone, raw steel, and an impressive 26,000 linear board feet of reclaimed barn wood. Inside, the lobby welcomes guests with a warm, residential atmosphere, anchored by a three-story fireplace and a custom-made chandelier designed to mimic shimmering aspen leaves, setting a sophisticated tone that honors the heritage of the region without resorting to typical rustic clichés.

The accommodations are divided between the original 55 guest rooms and the newly unveiled expansion, The Retreat at Hotel Jackson. In the main building, the rooms feature custom-built furnishings, natural linens, and private gas fireplaces, with select spaces offering views of the Gros Ventre range or the town's active streets. The Retreat introduces nine expansive, high-privacy suites, including the Teewinot junior suites and the 2,100-square-foot Grand Presidential Suite. Designed by TruexCullins, these newer quarters feature floor-to-ceiling glass windows framing vistas of Snow King Mountain and Crystal Butte, alongside private outdoor patios and custom Axminster carpets inspired by Native American textile patterns. This expansion also introduces a 7,000-square-foot urban spa and wellness center, complete with an infinity pool, providing a quiet sanctuary in the middle of town.

The culinary program at the hotel is equally distinctive, reflecting the Darwiche family's Lebanese heritage. In the lobby, FIGS serves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern tapas, including house-made hummus, chicken kafta kebabs, and baked kibbeh, all prepared in an open-kitchen setting around a copper-top bar. Under the direction of Executive Chef Malyna Si, the first female chef to lead a Michelin-starred kitchen in Florida, the hotel's dining offerings have expanded to include a signature Basque-inspired steakhouse with an open wood-fire grill and tableside cart service. Later in the year, Chef Si will also oversee the new 2,000-square-foot rooftop bar and lounge, which offers craft cocktails alongside elevated vistas of Snow King Mountain, cementing the hotel's status as a premier culinary destination in the valley.
